  • Every Purchase Makes a Difference

As a partner of Bell Socialization Services, proceeds raised through sales at Re-Source York help empower our neighbors to improve their quality of living, including those in Bell's job-training programs at RSY.

WELCOME!

Discover the difference at Re-Source York!

Kareen and BuddyNot a big impersonal box store of home improvement items, not your run of the mill thrift or resale shop . . . .  Re-Source York is here to build up our community with low-cost home improvement materials!

We have a large warehouse at 161 E Ninth Avenue in North York where you can donate new and used building materials to receive a tax deduction AND you can purchase materials at prices that are 25% – 80% below retail.

You can also donate and/or purchase furniture and home decor items at our RSY store located at 405 Carlisle Avenue (across from the York Fairgrounds).

As a 501(c)3 organization, we go beyond business as usual. Since we opened in 2002, Re-Source York has partnered with York-based Bell Socialization Services, a human services agency that offers housing supports and community living skills for people living with mental illness, intellectual disabilities, and families facing the challenges of homelessness.  Participants of Bell’s vocational rehabilitation program work side by side with RSY staff to bring you a great shopping experience while learning the ropes of retail operations, preparing them for other jobs in our community, too. Further, a portion of the sales from our stores helps continue the empowering and vital community work Bell offers through its programs.

Thanks for your support of our mission to inspire our community by being environmentally and socially responsible.

More than a store.
